TRACE Consulting is organizing a Specialized Training for Journalists on Comprehensive Understanding of the U.S. Reciprocal Tariff in partnership with BIJEM on 30 September 2025.

The training, specially designed for journalists, aims to provide with a comprehensive understanding of the U.S. Reciprocal Tariff issue, including its background, negotiation dynamics, and current status, as well as its potential implications for Bangladesh’s trade and economy. In addition, the program will enhance journalists’ knowledge of Bangladesh’s competitive advantages and explore long-term strategies to mitigate similar challenges, particularly in the context of post-LDC graduation export challenges.

The training will equip reporters with the technical knowledge needed to produce evidence-based, informative reports with clarity and objectivity. Resource persons directly involved in the process will share firsthand insights, enabling journalists to capture the real picture and counter misinformation.

Key resource persons from the relevant field including officials directly engaged in the negotiations, officials from Bangladesh Customs, eminent economist of the country will take sessions at the event.
